Spring Lake is a village in Ottawa County MI. Land in the area was first settled by Captain Benjamin Hopkins in 1837 after fleeing Canada during MacKenzie’s rebellion. He eventually built a sawmill which became known as Hopkins Mill in 1845. Today, Spring Lake is a small but friendly community that offers a variety of shops and services ranging from dining to sopping, fine wine, art galleries and more.
